Over the past few years, the Bujinkan has received some interesting media notoriety. I thought it might be nice to recap some of the positive that has been said:
Mind Body & Kick Ass Moves (2004, BBC Three) the show host, Chris Crudelli [see his new book below], stated that the art was “relaxed, soft, and manipulating while taking pressure points and using body weight to take the opponent down.”

Fight Science (2006, National Geographic Channel) “like no other fighting style, ninjutsu itself balances every martial skill: power, speed, and timing to exert the least effort for the most damage. Voted Ninjutsu the Best Overall Style.”

Human Weapon (2007, History Channel) this episode is about one of the most mysterious, subversive, and deadly martial arts in the world: Ninjutsu. As the show states, “These are lethal techniques that are designed to get someone in, execute a technique, and out — quickly, effectively and quietly.”
“Ninjutsu is fast, technical and proficient.”

Mythbusters: Ninja Myths (2007, Discovery Channel) historical theory about ninjas is that “they were peasants who developed unusual fighting techniques to defend against the samurai class. Their skills were reputed to be supernatural.”
